PPF / coating owners fall in two camps: shield ("the film protects my car, wash less") vs maintain ("I protect the film too — bird droppings and sap stain PPF faster than paint"). Our defaults follow industry guidance (XPEL, 3M, SunTek). If you lean shield, the care scale below covers that.
How you like to wash
Pick the vibe — we set frequency, rain caution, and post-rain rinse window in one go.
Tells the engine whether to suggest hands-on hacks or outsource paths. We won't nag you about the car-wash place every day if you said you outsource.
Customize — wash cycle, rain strictness, rinse tolerance, wash time
Your soft target when there's no contamination, urgency, or rain. The engine still suggests sooner if grime forces it, or later if your coating allows.
Set the cutoff. The engine treats any forecast hour at or above this percentage as rain. Lower = more cautious (avoid washes when even 25% chance); higher = relaxed (only certain rain stops you).

Where it lives
The longest single exposure block — drives a lot of the model.
